House Cleaning FAQ

Questions Sugar Land Families Ask Before Booking

Straight answers about what to expect from a cleaning service: how we clean, who shows up, what it costs, tipping, scheduling, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Booking & Quotes

The fastest way is to fill out our quote form. Tell us your address, beds/baths, and approximate square footage. We’ll send a flat-rate house cleaning quote for your launch deep clean and ongoing visits, usually within 15 minutes during business hours.

No. Most homes can be quoted over the phone or by text based on size and a few questions. If we think a quick walk-through is needed (very large homes, unusual layouts, or special circumstances), we’ll let you know before booking.

In most cases, we can schedule your launch deep clean within 3–7 days, depending on your neighborhood and preferred day/time. Founding 20 Families get priority booking on preferred days.

No. Our biweekly cleaning plans are cancel-anytime. We just ask for 48 hours’ notice to skip or stop service. There’s no annual contract, no early-cancellation fee, and no commitment beyond the next visit.

Cleaning & What’s Included

Kitchens (counters, sinks, exterior of appliances, floors), bathrooms (toilets, tubs/showers, sinks, mirrors, floors), dusting surfaces, making beds, taking out trash, and vacuuming/mopping floors. Inside ovens and fridges, interior windows, and laundry are optional add-ons rather than included by default.

Our launch deep clean covers everything in a standard visit, plus detail work that doesn’t get touched in regular maintenance: baseboards, door frames, light switches, vents, behind and under common furniture, cabinet fronts, shower glass and tile, and other built-up areas. The first visit takes longer specifically so we can reset the home to a high standard before ongoing biweekly care.

Most Sugar Land families on our service choose biweekly (every 2 weeks). It’s the right cadence for keeping a home consistently “guest-ready” without paying for weekly visits. Larger families or homes with pets sometimes go weekly; lower-traffic homes can stretch to monthly. We’ll give you our honest recommendation based on your home and lifestyle.

For homes on a regular biweekly cleaning service, a full deep clean once a year is usually enough. Sometimes twice a year for larger homes, homes with pets, or after dusty seasons. If you’ve never had a deep clean and just signed up for service, your launch deep clean covers the catch-up work right at the start.

Yes. Our teams bring all cleaning products, tools, vacuums, and microfiber cloths. You don’t need to provide anything. If you have preferred products you’d rather we use, just tell us before the first visit and we’ll work with what you have when possible.

Yes, on request. Tell us about any sensitivities, allergies, or preferences (eco-friendly, pet-safe, fragrance-free) before your first visit so we can plan ahead and bring the right products. We work with families who have small kids, pets, asthma, and chemical sensitivities all the time.

Pets, Access & Security

We love pets and clean around dogs, cats, and the occasional bird or reptile every week. Just tell us their names, temperaments, and whether they’ll be crated, in a closed room, or roaming so we can clean safely and they can be comfortable. We can also use pet-safe cleaning products on request.

Not after the first visit. We do recommend being home for the first cleaning so you can show us preferences and answer questions. After that, most families leave a key, code, or lockbox instructions and return home to a clean house.

This is up to you, both options are common. Being home gives you the chance to point things out as the team works. Being out gives us uninterrupted time to be more efficient. Most regular clients are out during cleanings, but some prefer to work from home in another room. Whatever feels right.

We store access details securely and only share them with your assigned cleaning team, not the whole company. If anything changes (new code, lost key, new alarm), just text or call us and we’ll update it before the next visit.

Yes. We’re fully insured while we’re working in your home. If you’d like, we can provide proof of insurance before your first visit.

Scheduling, Cancellations, Tipping & Billing

Most families choose biweekly (every 2 weeks). We also offer monthly and occasional one-time cleans when our schedule allows. Biweekly is the cadence most Sugar Land families find right for staying consistently guest-ready.

No problem. We just ask for at least 48 hours’ notice so we can adjust our route and offer the slot to another family. Skips don’t count against you and there’s no skip fee. Your next visit just resumes on the regular schedule.

Tipping isn’t required, but it’s appreciated when you feel the team did exceptional work. Common tip ranges for house cleaners are $5–$20 per cleaner per visit, or about 15–20% of the cleaning cost for a one-time deep clean. We never expect tips (our team is paid fairly regardless) but if you’d like to leave one, cash on the kitchen counter is easiest. You can also tell us in advance and we’ll add it to your invoice and pass it directly to the team.

Most families keep a card on file for automatic billing every 4 weeks (covering 2 biweekly visits). We’ll walk you through the setup when you book. We accept all major credit and debit cards.

Only if your home size or scope of work changes. If you remodel and add 1,000 sq ft, or if you add ongoing add-ons like inside windows or laundry, we’ll discuss any price updates with you ahead of time so there are no surprises. Founding 20 Families have their biweekly rates locked in as long as they stay on the plan.

Your First Visit & Our 24-Hour Guarantee

The most useful thing you can do is pick up clutter, toys, and clothes from the floors and surfaces you want cleaned. The less time we spend tidying, the more time we spend actually cleaning. Beyond that, leave a note about anything we should be careful with (delicate art, fragile surfaces, kids’ rooms with do-not-disturb zones), and tell us about pets, codes, and any sensitivities. That’s it.

Whatever feels comfortable. Some clients work from home in another room, some run errands, some leave for a few hours. There’s no “right” answer. Just tell us your preference for the first visit so we know what to expect.

We recommend being home or reachable for the first cleaning so we can confirm your preferences in person and answer questions on the spot. After that, most families are comfortable giving us recurring access via key, code, or lockbox.

Tell us within 24 hours and we’ll come back to fix any missed areas for free: no questions, no debate. That’s our 24-Hour Guest-Ready Guarantee, and it’s how every new family starts with us.
